After years of honing his photographic craft and developing a strong business and real estate acumen through the experienced mentorship of SqFt, Vetter was ready to take the plunge and build his own ship. That ship set sail in August 2018, when he departed SqFt and began running RedFly full-time.
After a few months of sailing solo, Vetter knew he needed a First Mate. So in January 2019, nearly two years after declaring “One day, I may hire you,” Vetter solidified his partner and chief operating officer, Brett Jager. Together, they rebranded as RedFly Media, with a heavier focus on video production. In addition to the RedFly rebrand, 2019 saw Vetter forge another new path, as he spearheaded a move into real estate investment and development. Vetter convened a team to ultimately purchase six properties in RedFly’s home of Covington, Kentucky — with the last purchase closing in March 2020. The portfolio contains both commercial and residential properties — including RedFly’s office on Madison Ave — and is an exciting opportunity to continue the transformation of Covington.
Vetter’s entrepreneurial spirit and yearning to diversify his experience and hone his craft could not be contained by the continental United States. With college stops at Coastal Carolina University and the University of Dayton, he found a home in Honolulu, Hawaii — graduating from Chaminade University in May 2010 — after which he took a job as the web producer for Honolulu Magazine. His journey brought him back home to Northern Kentucky where he opened his first business CVFotografie, LLC to be a Google Street View Trusted Photographer. In 2014, Vetter attended an intensive web development immersive bootcamp in Hong Kong through General Assembly. Christian’s technical prowess and keen eye for the moment enable him to deliver best-in-class services in aerial photography, 360 panoramics, videography, virtual reality and data-driven brand growth.
